It’s kind of hard to believe we’re already over halfway through 2016! Where does the time go?! Don’t ask me, I don’t know.
So, it’s been 10 months since my last R.M. Allinson release. What have I been doing with my lazy backside, you might ask. I have a confession. I have another pen name. A secret one, that I may or may not share with you all at some point.
I’ve published two more books under the pen name, as a bit of an experiment. They’re a completely different genre (contemporary, new adult-ish, sorta romances), and have been fun to write and dabble my toes in, but I’m pretty keen to get back to the spec fic that I write under the R.M. Allinson name.
I have a trilogy in the early planning stages (well, let’s be honest, I have dozens of books in the early planning stages…), that I am planning on finishing by the end of the year. No, they’re not in the Last Days series; sorry about that. I will get back to Lucy in the bunker one day, I promise!
I’m intending to have the whole trilogy written before I publish the first book, so there’ll be none of this waiting 2.5 years between books rubbish… Stay tuned for actual release dates!
What else has been going on in the land of R.M Allinson, you may ask? (If you didn’t ask, just look away now.) I finished my Masters in Education last year, after an extremely hectic semester where I was juggling 3 university subjects with teaching full-time… I was a sleep-deprived, stressed-out mess haha.
This year has been a lot more relaxed. I decided to throw myself into this writing gig, and am now basically a part-time relief teacher (no marking! no reports! no meetings! no planning!) and a part-time writer. It’s working out pretty well so far, with two books finished so far this year, and planning to have three more done by the end of the year.
All-righty, better get back to the words…
Can’t wait for the next book!
